After a little tinkering with the pulse setting, we now had a very definite wave. Didn't find much, but did find a post where someone said they weren't getting much of a wave and someone responded with, "Did you try turning the voltage up?" So we cranked the voltage up to 24v. Combined with the fact that we weren't seeing much wave action and that the voltage setting was the only other knob to turn, I did a quick Google search to see what others had to say about it. It has a switch that allows the output voltage to be set to 12v, 15v, 18v, 20v, 22v, or 24v.

We kept making very fine adjustments to the pulse setting in hopes the wave would become something more to speak about other than, "You think that's it?" Before we installed the wavebox we both read through the manual and it mentioned a voltage setting on the power supply, but I honestly didn't understand the why, when, where, how, who behind changing the voltage setting. While neither of us said it out loud at the time, I don't think JBSmurf or I were particularly impressed with the wave that was being produced. When we first turned it on I started adjusting the Pulse setting and looking for the wave to become apparent.

I went home and researched a bit and found that she was right. I did however appreciate the price difference between the standard wavebox and nano wavebox. She suggested that I only needed a Nano Wavebox on my 120 gallon tank, but I was not convinced because it simply seemed strange to run "nano" equipment on a 120 gallon tank.
